It is a natural sanctuary near Greater Concepción, one of the few cities in the country with a protected area so close to its urban area, notable for its valuable biodiversity. It houses forests dominated by oak and features threatened species such as the pitao and the Araucanian michay, as well as rich fauna including pudús and foxes. Its trails allow birdwatching and connection with nature in an environment full of tranquility and scenic beauty.
