The pass available is for the sectors of Chaihuín, Catrilelfu, and Romaza.

The park represents valuable natural environments due to the presence of millenary alerce forests, in their northernmost distribution. Its temperate rainforest has not been affected by massive disturbances such as volcanic eruptions, so the area presents high levels of endemism in flora and fauna, for example, around 60% of the flora species are only found in the area.
