To carry out activities on the Base Torres trail, you must go with an authorized guide. This measure will be in effect from April 27 to August 30, 2026, inclusive. See here the complete list of authorized guides.
It is reiterated that only the Base Torres trail will remain operational with authorized guide accompaniment. People interested in hiking the trail during this closure period may request an exceptional authorization. To do so, they must coordinate with accredited tour operators and submit their request and company background to the CONAF Magallanes Regional Office.

The closure of the Paine Massif circuit (La O) was brought forward until October 31, 2026.
Torres del Paine National Park, declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 1978, is world-famous for its spectacular Paine mountain range, composed of imposing granite massifs shaped by glaciers.
